When a deal you know exists doesn't show on the HubSpot board, it's usually still there. The board shows the pipeline picked in its dropdown, inside a saved view, so a deal in another pipeline, or one the view's filters leave out, isn't drawn. Deals created by an import, a workflow or an integration can land in a pipeline nobody on the sales team looks at.
The first thing to check is the table view. Switch the deals page to table view, choose All pipelines, clear any filters and search for the deal by name. If it appears there, look at its Pipeline and Deal stage columns, and you'll know which of the causes below applies.
Why deals don't show in the pipeline board
The board is showing a different pipeline
The board view uses the pipeline picked in the pipeline dropdown. If a deal was created in, or moved to, a second pipeline, it won't appear on the first one. This happens when an integration or a workflow creates deals in its own pipeline, or when an import puts deals in a pipeline the team doesn't use. Accounts on Starter, Professional or Enterprise can use multiple pipelines, so check the dropdown even if you think you only have one.
To check, find the deal in table view with All pipelines selected and read its Pipeline value. To see who or what put it there, open the property history for Pipeline on the deal record. Finding what changed a property explains how to read the source.
A saved view or filter is hiding it
Each tab on the deals page is a saved view, and saved views keep their filters. A view built for one rep or for this quarter's close dates will hide everything else. Filters in the same group use AND logic, so a deal has to match every condition to show. Separate filter groups use OR logic.
To check, open the filters on the active view and read each condition. Then switch to one of HubSpot's default views or a new view with no filters. Remember that table column filters clear when you refresh the page, while filters saved to a view stay until someone removes them. HubSpot's guide to viewing and filtering records covers the filter options.
A lane is collapsed or removed
In the redesigned board view, collapsing a lane minimizes it and hides its records. A board can be grouped by deal stage or by a dropdown-type property, and in the second case only the values someone added show as lanes. Removing a value takes its lane off the board. Deals with no value for the grouping property get their own lane only when the "No [property name] lane" switch is on.
To check, look for collapsed lanes, then open the view configuration icon and choose Board settings. Compare the board group and the selected values with the deal's own values. The options are in HubSpot's board view settings guide.
You don't have permission to see it
Deal permissions in HubSpot let a user view all deals, their team's deals or only their own, with a separate Unassigned checkbox for deals with no owner. A user limited to their own deals only sees those on index pages, in segments and in reports. Pipelines can also be restricted so that only some users or teams can view them.
To check, ask a Super Admin to search for the deal. If they can see it and you can't, compare your permission set with theirs and look at the pipeline's Manage access settings. Team-only permissions and restricting a pipeline by team both need a Professional or Enterprise subscription, as of October 2026, according to HubSpot's articles on record access and pipelines.
The deal was deleted
If no one can find the deal in table view with all pipelines and no filters, it may have been deleted, by a person or by an automation. HubSpot's restore records tool can bring back deleted HubSpot-defined records for up to 90 days. You open it from the three dots menu on the records page and filter by date. Using it needs Account access and Add and edit users permissions.
How to find a missing deal and get it back on the board
- Switch to table view, select All pipelines, clear the filters and search for the deal name.
- If the deal shows, note its Pipeline, Deal stage and Deal owner.
- Go back to board view and pick that pipeline in the dropdown. If the deal is in the wrong pipeline, edit its Pipeline and stage on the record.
- If the pipeline is right and the card is still missing, read the active view's filters and test the same pipeline in a view with no filters.
- Check board settings for collapsed lanes, removed lanes and the "No [property name] lane" switch.
- If a colleague can see the deal and you can't, compare your deal permissions and the pipeline's access settings.
- If nobody can find it, check the restore records tool for deletions in the last 90 days.
- Open the property history for Pipeline and Deal stage to see what moved or changed it, so you can fix the source.
How to stop it happening again
Name saved views after what they filter, such as "Jane, Q4 close dates", so nobody mistakes a narrow view for the whole pipeline. When you connect an integration or build a workflow that creates deals, set the pipeline and stage on purpose and write it down. Keep permission sets and pipeline access in one short document, and check them when someone changes teams. If deals show on the board but are missing from revenue, the cause is often a stage setting, covered in why closed won revenue looks wrong.
If deals keep landing in the wrong place and you can't see why, I can audit your pipelines, views and permissions and fix them.
Questions
Why can my manager see a deal I can't?
Your deal permissions or the pipeline's access settings limit what you can view. Ask a Super Admin to compare your permission set with your manager's.
Why did my filters disappear when I refreshed?
Table column filters clear on refresh unless you save them as a quick filter. Changes to advanced filters only stay if you save the view.
Do I need a paid plan to move a deal to another pipeline?
Yes. HubSpot says moving a record to a different pipeline needs a Starter, Professional or Enterprise subscription, since free accounts don't have multiple pipelines.
Can I get a deleted deal back?
Records deleted in the last 90 days can be restored from the restore records page, if you have the permissions it needs. After 90 days they can't be restored there.
Did this fix it?
Good to hear. If something else in the portal looks off, the help centre has more fixes.
Some problems need someone to look inside the portal. Book a free 30-minute call and show me what's happening. If it needs work, you get a written scope and one fixed price.
